I am from Hazelwood Missouri. I went to Hazelwood West high school for four years. While there I was an over achiever in many advanced placement and honors classes, I started taking college courses as a junior in high school. I was very involved with extracurricular activities such as Future Business Leaders of America, Peer Leaders where I achieved the standing of vice president, Character Council, Head of the Special Olympics volunteered for Extra Hands for ALS, and was a counselor as a camp for inner city kids. On top of all that I help a very steady job where I worked 20 to 30 hours a week. Straight out of high school I moved to Chicago and attended DePaul University where I am currently studying Public Relations and Advertising with a minor in Marketing. I started college with many credits, which now makes me a senior, I am graduating in June and I have only being in college for three years. Moving here was a big step, especially considering at the time I was only 17. It did not take me long to meet a plethora of people as well as get involved in organizations like Resident Housing Council and America Reads.
My home in Hazelwood Missouri is also home to my brothers, Shay 15 and Kyle 8 as well as my mother, Anne and father, Steve. I would have to say that there is nothing in this world that I value more than my family. My brothers are nothing short of amazing, while they still give me a few laughs. As well as my parents are less extroverted as me but know that I will always do great things and never let them down. They are there in every portion of life! I am and have always been very close to my aunts they are just like best friends with more of an influential aspect of life and knowledge.
When I was young I could be found mostly reading books in a window illuminated with sun. Books were my passion! It took me until eighth grade to break out of my shell and release the flight of my imagination once I reached this level I was unstoppable. From here I only made every dream bigger and bigger, to this day I still dream big but not unrealistic. I like to set goals reach them and then set more goals. I have always wanted to be a person that will forever stick out in someone’s mind, even if it is in the smallest way. I want to be inspirational to whoever is willing to accept.

What do you feel has been your greatest work-related accomplishment?
I got an interview with a VP at Leo Burnett for Beyond Credentials' blog!
How do you handle stressful situations?
I step back from the situation and take a deep breath, then I
dedicate myself to whatever is stressing me out. I
am also never afraid to ask for help because
some things are beyond me.
How has your education prepared you for your career?
I believe that my education has made me more confident that I have chosen
the right career path. I love Public Relations and Advertising, I like to
think creatively. My education at DePaul is of great importance to me and
I do think that it has prepared me for my career. Can an education
guarantee that one will prosper and decrease all hardships with in ones
career, I do not think so. It is a foundation to help build your future.
Are you a team player?
I'm absolutely a team player. I think I learned that playing
team sports and growing up in a very close
family...either way it's something that comes
very natural to me and I excel working in groups.
What irritates you about co-workers?
The only thing that I have thus far found irritating about co-
workers is when I have to wait
for them to do their job in order for me to
do mine. I also get irritated when co-
workers treat me as less because I
am young, even if we hold the same
position.
What is your greatest strength?
My greatest strength is the ability to do what I set my mind to. When I
have a vision in my head I will make it happen. I also strive
for success in the end, if someone asks me to do something I
will do my best to accomplish the task at hand.
What are you looking for in a job?
In a job I am looking for a challenge. As well as set goal to
reach, I am looking to work in a team that
is always communicating with each other.
I do not think that the best work comes
out of one individual, rather the team
What kind of person would you refuse to work with?
I refuse to work with a person who only produces negativity. Negativity
is not healthy for the person nor is it healthy for the work
atmosphere. When there is someone on your team who only has
bad things to say that will eventually hurt the team as a
whole because you team is only as strong as your weakest player.
I understand jobs are stressful, but nothing is impossible.
Are you willing to work overtime? Nights? Weekends?
I am willing to work night, the weekend, and overtime. I am a dedicated
person and will do what is asked of me. I would expect understanding when
I needed to take time off for my family. Family is very important to me
and there should be allotted family time during the week at some point.
